To help us sort it out faster, include your TapTask version (TapTask menu → Settings → About), your macOS version and what exactly you did: which file, which key, which ring item.
The ring doesn't appear
- Make sure TapTask isn't paused: the dandelion icon in the menu bar shouldn't be dimmed.
- Tap the key briefly while already holding the file with the mouse. A long press doesn't count.
- If another app uses that key, assign the ring a different one in Settings → Keys.
The result wasn't saved next to the original
macOS lets App Store apps write only to folders you've allowed. Open Settings → Folders and add the folder (or your whole home folder) — results will then appear next to the originals. Until then they're saved to Downloads → TapTask.
Double-tap on selected files doesn't work
The first time, macOS asks whether TapTask may control Finder. If you declined, turn it on in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation → TapTask → Finder.
Undo an action
TapTask menu in the menu bar → Undo Last Result. The created files go to the Trash.
