Privacy Policy

In short. The TapTask app collects no data and never goes online. The taptask.ru website counts visits anonymously and loads Yandex Metrica only with your consent. We keep your email only if you left it yourself to hear about the launch.
Who processes data
The controller is the TapTask developer, Sergey Ipatov. For any data questions, write to support@taptask.ru.
TapTask for Mac
- All files are processed on your Mac only. The app never uploads them and has no network access.
- We collect no analytics, crash reports, device identifiers or usage data.
- Settings, presets and the shelf contents are stored locally in macOS preferences and are removed with the app.
- The app can access only the folders you grant it in the macOS folder picker. You can revoke access in TapTask Settings.
- If you allow TapTask to control Finder, it's only to learn which files are selected when you open the ring without dragging.
Website edition (DMG)
The version downloaded from taptask.ru also processes files only on your Mac. It goes online in two cases:
- Key activation. The key, an anonymous Mac identifier (a hash that doesn't reveal the serial number), the computer name and the TapTask version are sent to taptask.ru, so one key works on one Mac. Once a week the app checks the key is still valid; offline it keeps working.
- Updates. The app downloads the list of versions from taptask.ru to offer updates.
When you buy a key, we keep the buyer's email and activation details while the license is valid, to restore the key and help move it to another Mac.
The taptask.ru website
Visit counter. When a page opens, the site sends an anonymous event to our server: the page address, language, referring site, time zone and screen size. No cookies are used and IP addresses are not stored. We only see total visits and sources.
Yandex Metrica. Loaded only if you click Accept in the cookie notice. Metrica sets cookies and collects visit data, including click maps and session replay (Webvisor), so we can see what people find interesting. Processor: Yandex LLC, terms at yandex.com/legal/metrica_termsofuse. To change your choice, clear the site data in your browser and the notice will appear again.
Email address. If you left your email in the “Be the first to know” form, we store it on our server in Russia and use it once — to tell you TapTask is out. Then it's deleted. To delete it sooner, write to support@taptask.ru.
Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent. Write to support@taptask.ru — we'll reply within 10 business days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
